Richard J. Rafuls, also known by his friends and colleagues as Ricky, is the founding member of The Rafuls Law Group. Throughout his career, he has represented individuals and corporate clients alike in hundreds of insurance claims. Ricky is responsible for ensuring that every case is handled with the utmost degree of care and professionalism. Whether you are a commercial client or a homeowner, Ricky and his team have the knowledge and experience to handle and resolve your insurance claim from beginning to end, giving you peace of mind.
Ricky handles all pre-lawsuit aspects of insurance claims, and is prepared to litigate these claims when the insurance companies deny or underpay them, as the insurance companies often do. Ricky regularly recovers the wrongfully withheld funds on behalf of his clients.
Ricky began his career defending insurance companies, where he gained valuable knowledge,
experience, and insight regarding how insurance companies evaluate and adjust claims. This experience has proven invaluable in managing Rafuls Law Group’s insurance claim cases and ensures the best and fastest recovery possible for clients. Prior to founding Rafuls Law Group Ricky gained extensive courtroom experience while working as an associate in two South Florida law firms. As an associate attorney, Ricky practiced personal injury protection and learned how to litigate first party property insurance claims from start to finish. Thereafter, Ricky focused his practice on representing homeowners and commercial clients in first party insurance claims as a partner at another boutique South Florida law firm. There, Ricky gained invaluable experience by arguing appeals and taking matters to trial.
Ricky earned his Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude, from Nova Southeastern University, School of Law. Ricky met his wife, Chanelle J. Ventura, in law school and have been married since February of 2020. Together they live with their son and their dog, Rusty.
Chanelle J. Ventura is an attorney at Rafuls Law Group. Her practice includes insurance litigation, as well as wage an hour litigation under the Fair Labor Standards Act, discrimination and retaliation claims under Title VII if the Civil Rights Act of 1964, medical leave claims under the Family and Medical Leave Act, disability discrimination and retaliation claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and age discrimination and retaliation claims under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. Ms. Ventura received her juris doctor from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, where she graduated summa cum laude. Ms. Ventura gained extensive experience in her field of practice by working as an attorney at one of the nations largest law firms representing injured employees. Ms. Ventura is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida. She is also admitted to practice in the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
Amanda Gonzalez was born and raised in South Florida. She has her Bachelors Degree in English with a minor in Sociology. After working in Education for 3 years she has made the transition to legal work. She started her legal career at Rafuls Law Group and works as a paralegal with litigation experience.
